April Fool (a "haiku" cycle)" XXIX

If there come a day
When I can no longer speak,
Read to me, instead.

Tell me what you know
Of yourself, of me, of us;
Talk about the world

And how it has changed
For the better, where you are.
Be my voice for me.

  1. I read this lastnight but my cell was acting up, so i could'nt comment. I love how this writing of yours is at once, simple and complex. The person doing the "reading" would have to be someone trustworthy and loving.

    1. Martin, I'm so glad you were able to stop by! I like your approach to this piece very well. It felt very subjective and intimate to write.
